Hey, I'm moving out my parents house and I need a cheap decorating ideas.I'm gonna be renting a 2 Bed/2 Bath Apartment with a screened in porch. I want to use the 2nd bedroom as a guest room, office, and gym. Most of the stuff I need is for a living room. I'll go ahead and list all the stuff I already purchased below. by the way I know how to sew.
what I have:
Dining Table w/ 4 chairs
Computer Desk(Guest Room)
Bed, Dresser and Nightstand
stuff for kitchen( cooking stuff, cuttlery, plates, baking stuff, etc)
Cheap outdoor bistro set
Twin Bed( for guest room)
Treadmill(guest room)
Exersize Bike(guest Room)
Easiest thing first...Check craigslist! People are practically giving things away, just search for what you need. Curtains can be made by purchasing fabric and hemming the top panel for the rod to slip through. You could use mend tape for this instead of sewing it, it works fine. if you need any additional furniture try obtaining them from second hand stores (like a wood table, entertainment center etc.)If there is an IKEA near you , you can get some pretty cheap pieces from there. (Not the highest quality but still stylish and affordable). and don’t forget to hit up your Marts...Kmart, Walmart (If you support walmart), Target. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but if you invest the time, you will make it work!
Definitely go to secondhand shops. You can get some awesome furnature and all kinds of stuff for next to nothing, and it's fun to fix stuff up too. You could go to yard sales or flea markets and stuff, but second hand shops are the best, definitely. and of course walmart is cheap lol
I can tell you all kinds of ideas but you just have to go out and look and get a feel for what is you and what isn't, and how much things will cost.
Don't go to expensive stores.
Good luck. It's fun
Oh and ask people if they have any extra stuff they don't want.
you can go to thrift shops and find alot of stuff that is cheap and good. they also have rods and the dollar general has sheets veery cheap and you can gt rods there for curtains also. check it out and you will be fine.
The best thing to do is look at second hand stores. You're mostly set up.....but you're really going to want a couch.

Thrift stores have all kinds of great treasures; dishes, linens, clothes, pictures, everything. Go to local thrift stores for stuff you need.
u just need some couches lil tables a cofee table and some knick knacks around to complimment your color pattern .
to decorate 600 is ok
but that excludes the furniture because couches ar e expensive
maybe you can buy second hand dining table, comp.desk anything you can find in the secondhand store.
Accessories, new bed linen and curtains? U can then change them around at intervals or seasonally.
go to flea markets and buy art prints for cheap....art work always decorates an apartment really well.
flea markets... projects... hobby lobby... and hit up all those garage sales....get creative.... you will find some killer deals
go to ikea. they have plenty of stuff there.
How do you decorate your First Apartment under $600?

Take a few deep breaths. If possible, get some fresh air in your lungs. Exercise at your computer desk. Twist your hands in so they point towards your body and lean forwards, hunching your shoulders. Good luck
